\"Be Still and Know\" Silent Retreat - Practice in Silence and Discernment
Date: Apr 03, 2020
Location:1437 Bates Road Cottonwood, AZ 86326 United States
"The aim of life is silence. Silence is the language of God or Brahman. Peace is silence. Silence is the language of the heart. Silence is the language of the wise. Silence is immense strength. Silence is great eloquence. Silence is power. Silence is a living force. Silence is the only reality. Behind all noise and sound is silence, your innermost soul." ~Swami Sivananda
Join us for a classical Yoga Ashram retreat designed to help you re-discover the sacred silence within and to connect profoundly with your authentic self. Our silent retreats focus on both the wisdom teaching of Advaita Vedanta and Yogic practices to help you both experience and to sustain inner connection and awareness. The retreat is offered on a donation-only basis.
The retreat is open to all seekers, regardless of tradition, and is held in sacred and safe space with respect for all. It is conducted in accordance with the holistic and all-inclusive teachings of Swami Sivananda and Adi Shankaracharya. The retreat will begin on Friday afternoon and end the following Friday at noon. The only requirements of the participants are that they are genuine in their intent, that they be kind and respectful of all during the retreat, that they participate fully in all aspects of the retreat including in seva (selfless service). No one is asked to believe in any particular teaching, but all are asked to participate fully in order to take away an understanding of how the practices in total may be of benefit to them.
This retreat is offered on a donation-only basis. You will not be asked for a donation during or after the retreat, yet we are most grateful for anything offered. You can offer through our website, here, or in the donation box at Ashram.
Please contact Swami directly prior to booking for the retreat to confirm Accommodation availability, and also to inquire about the retreat. He can be reached at (858) 859-0523 or email Swami@DivineGraceYoga.org.
